पेण : रायगड जिल्ह्यातील पेण येथील पोलीस वसाहतींची अत्यंत दुरवस्था झाली असून वसाहत शेवटची घटका मोजत आहे. पोलीस कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी बांधलेल्या पेण शहरातील फणस डोंगरी व पेण पोलीस ठाण्याशेजारी असणाऱ्या पोलीस वसाहतीचा अक्षरशः उकिरडा तयार झाला आहे.
ही वसाहत सुस्थितीत व्हावी किंवा त्या ठिकाणी नव्या इमारतीची निर्मिती व्हावी, यासाठी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते हरिष बेकावडे यांनी सन २०१९ मध्ये सर्व शासन स्तरावर पत्रव्यवहार करून उपोषणाचा इशारा दिल्यानंतर पोलीस अधीक्षक कार्यालय रायगड यांच्या कार्यालयात बैठक झाली. त्या वेळी चाळ व इमारतींचे स्ट्रक्चर ऑडिट करून पाडण्यासंदर्भात सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने आदेश दिले होते. येथील पोलीस प्रशासन हालचाली करण्यास तयार आहे.
ऑगस्ट २०२१ मध्ये उपविभागीय अधिकारी सार्वजनिक बांधकाम पेण यांनी पोलीस वसाहतमधील इमारतीची पाहणी करून अभिप्राय दिला आहे. त्यानुसार पोलीस वसाहत पेण, फणस डोंगरी येथील पश्चिमेकडील २४ सदनिका असलेली इमारत १९८८ मध्ये तर उत्तरेकडील १० सदनिका असलेली इमारत १९८९ मधील आहे. ८ सदनिकांची बैठी चाळ तसेच पोलीस ठाण्याशेजारील ८ सदनिका बैठी चाळ या सर्व इमारती पाडण्यास हरकत नसल्याचे पेण पोलीस ठाण्याला कळवले आहे.
त्याचबरोबर पेण पोलीस ठाणे येथील जागा अत्यंत अडचणीची असून इतरही शासकीय कार्यालय त्या आवारात आहेत .त्यामुळे नागरिकांची वर्दळ नियमित चालू असते. शिवाय ही कार्यालय बाजारपेठेला लागूनच असल्याने वाहतुकीची कोंडी सातत्याने जाणवते. हे लक्षात घेऊन पेण पोलीस ठाणे चे कार्यालय सुद्धा नवीन वसाहत येथील पोलीस लाईन येथील जागेत हलविल्यास प्रशस्त इमारत होऊ शकते.
त्याचबरोबर सध्याचा अतिशय महत्त्वाचा वाहतूक कोंडी चा प्रश्न सुटेल. याचाही विचार करून सर्व गोष्टी लक्षात घेऊन सविस्तर विस्तृत आराखडा तयार करून निधीची उपलब्धता करून शासनाने द्यावी अशी मागणी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते हरिष बेकावडे यांनी केली आहे.
नवनियुक्त रायगड पोलीस अधीक्षक आंचल दलाल मॅडम यांनीही यामध्ये जातीने लक्ष घालून या संदर्भातील प्रस्तावाची माहिती घेऊन तात्काळ वरिष्ठ पातळीवर पाठपुरावा करावा.

२०२१ ला या इमारतींची पूर्ण पाहणी करून त्याचा रिपोर्ट वरिष्ठांना पाठवला आहे. शासनाकडून अथवा पोलीस खात्याकडून या इमारतींच्या बांधकामासंदर्भात कोणतीच हालचाल अगर निधीची तरतूद झाली नाही. ही तरतूद झाल्यास आम्ही तातडीने बांधकाम सुरू करू

Government should immediately approve funds for Pen Police Colony and Police Station: Harish Bekawde
Pen: The police colonies in Pen in Raigad district are in a very bad condition and the colony is counting its last hours. The police colony next to Phanas Dongri and Pen Police Station in Pen city, which was built for police personnel, has literally become a ruin.
In order to ensure that this colony is in good condition or a new building is constructed at that place, social activist Harish Bekawde wrote to all government levels in 2019 and warned of a hunger strike, after which a meeting was held at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Raigad. At that time, the Public Works Department had ordered a structural audit of the chal and buildings and their demolition. The police administration here is ready to take action.
In August 2021, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Public Works, Pen, inspected the building in the police colony and gave his feedback. Accordingly, the building with 24 flats on the west side of Police Colony Pen, Fanas Dongri was built in 1988 and the building with 10 flats on the north side was built in 1989. The Pen Police Station has been informed that there is no objection to demolishing all these buildings, including the 8-flat sitting chal and the 8-flat sitting chal next to the police station.
At the same time, the land at Pen Police Thane is very difficult and there are other government offices in that premises. Due to this, there is a regular flow of citizens. Moreover, since this office is adjacent to the market, traffic jams are constantly felt. Keeping this in mind, if the Pen Police Thane office is also shifted to the land at the Police Line in Naveen Colony, it can be a spacious building.
At the same time, the current very important issue of traffic jams will be solved. Considering this, social activist Harish Bekavade has demanded that the government prepare a detailed and comprehensive plan and make funds available.
The newly appointed Raigad Superintendent of Police Aanchal Dalal Madam should also pay close attention to this and immediately follow up with the senior level by taking information about the proposal in this regard.

A complete inspection of these buildings was carried out in 2021 and its report was sent to the seniors. No action or provision of funds has been made by the government or the police department regarding the construction of these buildings. If this provision is made, we will start the construction immediately
