माथेरान : माथेरानमध्ये वारंवार झाड कोसळून वाहनांचे नुकसान होण्याच्या घटनांनी वाहनधारकांची चिंता वाढवली आहे. ३० जूनला दस्तुरी नाका येथे झाड कोसळून तीन कारचे नुकसान झाले होते. त्यानंतर आता चार्जिंगसाठी लावलेल्या ई-रिक्षांवर जुने झाड कोसळून, तीन रिक्षांचे मोठे नुकसान झाले.
माथेरान शहरात स्थानिक आणि पर्यटकांच्या दिमतीला पर्यावरणपूरक ई रिक्षा चालवल्या जात आहेत. कम्युनिटी सेंटर येथे उभारण्यात आलेल्या चार्जिंग स्टेशन येथे चार्जिंगसाठी लावलेल्या तीन ई-रिक्षांवर सततच्या पावसामुळे जुने झाड कोसळले.
या दुर्घटनेत प्रकाश सुतार, कविता बल्लाळ यांच्या रिक्षांचे मोठे नुकसान झाले. तर तिसर्‍या रिक्षाचे किरकोळ नुकसान झाले आहे. त्यामुळे या ई-रिक्षातून त्यांची दुरुस्ती होईपर्यंत सेवा देता येणार नाही.
